About the Amba Method

Work like a Woman

Together is the only way these days. Work Like a Woman is a series of monthly co-working workshops to help you breathe ease into your work day, ignite your creativity, and find your flow.

Let’s co-work, Amba style

Do you ever feel like computer work disconnects you from your body and your breath? That it puts you into a different ‘mode’ that locks your jaw and shallows your breathing?

You know the feeling – Rushing. Clenching. Running on overdrive. Isolated and alone. Skipping meals. Over-caffeinating. Endless task lists.

I certainly used to feel this whenever I opened up my laptop. . . even after years of dedicated embodiment practice.

It’s one thing to feel dropped in and nourished while you’re doing your practice, but it’s a whole other skill to bridge the inner embodied connection with your work life.

There’s another way. A softer way.

Work Like a Woman (WLAW) is a series of three-hour immersive virtual workshops with the supportive community of women you’ve always dreamed of. Together, we’ll shift from task-driven, robot-mode into an effortless, creative flow to do our very best work.

Strategies to Interface with technology

A supportive community

Feel connected, encouraged, and elevated while you work.

  • I notice the beauty of not feeling alone with the Earth grounding or even better cradling me. The experience of Mother Earth providing comfort has been a gift. It has provided a soft and strong sense of felt safety.

WLAW FAQs

  • We don’t currently offer recordings of our monthly WLAW, but for our Amba Community members, we provide some WLAW resources within your community portal.

  • Each 3-hour workshop begins with introductions and an overview of the theme of the month. Then we dive into an hour-long co-working session with embodiment boosts (breaks to breath and move). After a brief check in, we drop into a second hour of co-working. We end with group sharing and integration.

  • Presence and community are important elements of Work Like a Woman. While we know that you’re juggling a lot, we ask that you have your camera on at the beginning of the session for our welcome circle and for our closing circle so that we can see you and feel you, and you can be supported. You don’t need to have your camera on for the co-working time – that’s completely up to you.

  • We dive into a new motif each month in our WLAW workshops. Each WLAW event is on our events page and the motif (theme) is listed. If there’s a specific topic you’d like us to focus on, you can submit a request. You’re welcome to contact us here to do that.
